Disney Drinkin'

Thinking about heading to Disney to get your drink on? Probably not - but now you will....

Disney’s delicious new cocktail menu (found in most bars and lounges) has a twist: all mixes are made from scratch, taking the art of cocktail “mixology” to a whole new level. “We’ve just introduced a brand new beverage menu that tells a story of beverage innovation and quality,” said Stuart McGuire manager of Beverage and Concept Development for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. “The new design is in the form of an explorer’s journal and includes sketches of iconic Disney images from around the world.”

Many of the new cocktails are made with “better for you” ingredients such as organic spirits, fresh fruits and herbs that have been procured locally when seasonally available, and lower calorie, no-sugar-added fruit purees.
The Raspberry Rain Cocktail, for instance, is made with Rain Organics Red Grape Hibiscus Vodka, Chambord, freshly muddled raspberries, lychee and fresh lemon juice. The Superfruit Martini features Van Gogh Acai-Blueberry Vodka, pomegranate liqueur, cranberry juice, organic agave nectar and fresh lemon juice.
Top sellers include the Agave Nectar Margarita which is made with organic blanco tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and organic agave nectar. The Antioxidant Cocktail continues to be one of the most popular drinks, made with Finlandia Wild Berries Vodka, Absolut Berri Acai Vodka, pomegranate, lychee and freshly squeezed lemon juice. The most popular dessert cocktail? The Godiva Chocolate Martini, made with Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, Stoli Vanilla Vodka, Crème de Cacao and Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur.

TDay Leftovers

Chef Bart Retolatto of La Bottega has created the "Day After Thanksgiving Pizza" which will make an awesome substitute for the usual left over meals....

THE "DAY-AFTER-THANKSGIVING PIZZA"

Preparation Requires:
A pizza stone
A round pizza cutter
A spatula

Ingredients:
5oz. Pizza dough (basic pizza recipe)
3oz. Roast turkey meat
2oz. Traditional thanksgiving day stuffing
2oz. Sweet potato puree
2oz. Cranberry sauce
2oz. Turkey gravy
.5oz. Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Set oven with pizza stone at 400°F.
Press out pizza dough until it reaches 9 inches in diameter. Season with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
Place dough in on stone in oven. If you don't have a pizza stone a flat baking pan will do. Just remember to grease it with a little olive oil so the dough doesn't stick.
Bake for 4 minutes and let rise slightly; the dough should not brown at this stage.
Take the dough from the oven and slice in half with a bread knife.
Smear one half with sweet potato puree and the other with cranberry sauce.
Building from the sweet potato side, add the stuffing and spread evenly. Pile on the turkey and drizzle with gravy.
Close the pizza with the cranberry sauce side and slightly press down.
Place back in the oven for 3 minutes and let brown slightly.
Remove from oven and cut into 6 equal sized pieces.
